As cunning as a fox, this little whistle mimics the yelps of wounded prey to lure the hungry Mr Fox into the path of the hunter’s crosshairs. A clever little wine that will put you one step ahead of the competition, however crafty they might be.

Grapes are harvested at night to keep them cool for delivery to the winery where they are gently pressed.  After cold settling the clear juice is carefully racked to cooled fermentation tanks and inoculated with selected yeasts. Cool fermentation is followed by minimal handling, filtration prior to bottling. The Tomfoolery winemaking philosophy is simple: small parcels of fruit, hand-crafted through a simple and relatively non-interventional approach with the aim to truly reflect the innavidual characteristics of the vineyard and variety.

Colour: Pale straw with just a hint of varietal blush.

Bouquet: Poached pears and frangipane tart with accents of citrus zest.

Palate: Soft and juicy, with nashi pear fruit, lime juice and blanched almonds on a textural, rounded palate balanced by refreshing acidity.
